Little Girl Lost

This story brings tears to my eyes.  A bright, disabled, survivor of a little girl was viciously murdered.  The evils in this world is just too much sometimes.

Foxnews - Zahra

And......her stepmother wants a lower bail because she lead investigators to parts of her body.  That's right folks, parts.  Not the entire body but parts of it.  Parts of this little baby was scattered over the countryside with little respect for human life, spirit and love and this woman wants lower bail.  Ha.  This is so obscene.  And on top of that, the father doesn't know anything about it.  Hmm.  Sounds a little hinky. In these situations, lock them up and throw away the key.  Death row would be too humane.

The whole situation needs a case of Lysol and eye-bleach.......

This world failed this little girl in so many ways.  I am sure that there were tale tell signs before the murder of her abuse.  Usually murdering a baby had leader situations.  Let me count the ways.  There weren't any bruises or she didn't tell anyone about being verbally abused?  So she wasn't being abused previously?  What about DHS stepping in?  Or maybe the school.  Or maybe her neighbors or just maybe the bagger at the grocery store.  What about family?  Sometimes you can't hear a child cry because they can't cry properly because they have been ruined in some form or fashion.  I will tell you that there were signs and no one was listening.  You just don't murder a child and there not be a history of ungodly abuse or neglect.  Just no one thought to stick their nose in and make it their business.  No one thought, that this little child who was very special, to check in on her and her living conditions?  What about......what about.......a little too late now.

I can ask all these questions and it still hurts the same way.  As a survivor of abuse and neglect, I can honestly say that the system, family and family friends failed me and my sister.  I know what kind of hell she put up with.  All I can say now is that she is free of torment and she is at peace.  Her killers will pay the price.  If not on earth, paid to by check by kharma herself.  And they deserve every bit of it they get.

Maybe the problem isn't with the system.  Maybe the problem lies within the families themselves.  Say you have an abusive guardian.  The kids show up to school with bruises on their legs and arms.  Does the teacher pay attention or is she/he not caring enough.  What about church?  The neighbors?  Would you calls the police if you heard a disturbance next door?  Don't think for a second I wouldn't.  If you knew that there was abuse in a house (to a child) would you step in and make it your business or would you turn a blind eye to it?  Just think........that child could be the next baby to be murdered.  Then, I would see you on some website or the 10 o'clock news saying some stupid shit like...."I just didn't know and they seemed like such a nice little family."  I have a bullshit flag with your name on it.

Grow some balls people.  Make it your business.  You could very well change the course of a life in danger.

Donkey Kong!!

300lbs Chimp - Foxnews

I can't stop laughing at this.

So the story goes that a 300 lbs chimp.....yeah, not a freakin Gorilla.....a c-h-i-m-p....goes berserko and goes all "Donkey Kong" on a cop car after giving the pursuers the middle finger.......oh....and her name is Sue.  Johnny Cash would have been proud.

I am still snickering.

5 Years and Nothing?

Nineth Ward - CNN

Can someone tell me what the hell "evironmental racism" is?  Are you 'effin kidding me? Is that kind of like "reverse racism" (you know the kind of racism that only white people can claim).  Is this a word that only black people who went through Katrina who lived in New Orleans, in the 9th Ward can use?  What about blacks in Biloxi, MS or blacks that lived in Longbeach, MS that lost everything to Katrina.  Probably not.  Someone in the 9th Ward probably trademarked it.

What about the white, asian, or indian families that lost everything?  I would be very interested in what kind of racism this would be.  I am up for suggestions.  Maybe we can start something.

Okay, so we talked about the "racism" aspect of this article.  Let's move to my next favorite......"Get off your ass and do something about it" part.

I am soooooo sick and tired of hearing about New Orleans this, New Orleans that and Katrina.  You do understand that there were places as far north as Poplarville, MS, Baton Rouge, LA and Mobile, AL that got hit with damages from Katrina, right?  Or, how about Longbeach/Diamondhead, MS?  It was wiped off the face of the planet.  Oh, but poor, poor New Orleans and the inability to help themselves.  The day after Katrina, the people of MS spent more time rebuilding than complaining.  Funding?  I don't know a whole lot about that....however I do know that if you clean it up and you mow it and you take care of your own neighborhood and NOT expect that the government/cities PAY you to do all this, or didn't have the mentality that it's the cities job to take care of it, maybe, just maybe I would feel a bit sorry for you.

This problem has absolutely nothing to do with whatever flavor of racism you feel like tasting today.  If you want to see change, make your own move.  Don't wait for others to do it for you.

Free Speech vs. A Parents Pain

Free Speech vs. Privacy and Pain at Supreme Court - CNN

When I first heard of this story a couple of years ago, I can remember distinctly shaking my head and wondering how in the world can someone, a preacher of all people, or even someone who can call themselves this or an American, can even tie sexuality to our troops dying at war.

This case has been worked through the court system and now is at the highest in the land.

The Westboro Baptist Church states it has freedom of speech.  The parents/family say the church has caused undue emotional distress and infringed on privacy.

Down and dirt of it.....who in the hell do these extremists think they are?  Where in the world would a man who can honestly read the book of God and consider himself a man of the cloth get this idea?  Please someone enlighten me.  I want someone to point it out to me in the the black and white of the bible and show me where it says that my troops are dying because there are gay men and women living and breathing among us all.  Give me just one.  Make me eat the words right now and I will STFU.  I have found nothing of the sort, so I am calling a bluff.  Show me preacher man.  If this sounds a little confrontational, it should.  You are telling me my friends, my family are dying because of something you created in your little head.  So you go and protest at their funeral no doubt.  Chickenshit is what it is.  Try protesting to live ones.

I wonder if this is all a rouse because maybe the preacher has homosexual tendencies and is flogging himself everynite and preaches against it everyday and needs to blame someone.  I bet.

I have said it before, this is NOT considered freedom of speech.  There is only so much you can do or say before you make a mockery of this amendment.

To the parents of the fallen and the current soldiers.  Bless you.  Thank you for your support and neverending love.  It really doesn't go unoticed.  If you think that these extremists may come (or not and just need support) to a funeral of your fallen loved ones, call these ladies and gents first and they will be your first and last line of defense....... http://www.patriotguard.org/ ............

To the Westboro Baptist Church.....kharma is a bitch.

Burning Religion 6.0

Uuuggggghhhhh!  I can't get away from this religious nonsense!  But, I like to talk about it......nonetheless.

Female Priests - CNN

I thought that I had seen it all.

I was not aware of this.....this....heathenistic (is this even a word?  If not, I made up a new word!) thinking even in the Catholic Church.

*Buahahahahahahahahaaaaaa*  I am now laughing at myself for being so naive.  *facepalm*

So, if you are a woman, and you want to be a priest in the catholic faith, you are um.....basically screwed.  The Vatican (you know, the same people who moved pedo priests around) has spoken!  They have deemed you unfit to lead your sheep to the heavens!  You have the wrong plumbing for this work good woman!  How dare you step out of the kitchen and want to serve your God!

Holy shit.  I am so glad that religion is not based on the people who teach it.

Wait......what?

The Vatican is just pissed because over the last couple of hundred years, the church has had to slowly released it's grip on local governments.  Wow, that must mean that they really hate America.  You know with all the religion shall not mix with government thing.  Hmmmm.  Come to think of it, after the whole pedo scandal, I seem to recall that your church has been hurting for people to join.

BTW:  Prove to me where in the Bible that is says--"Women are not to allowed to be Priests."  Not a damn Doctrine that a bunch of priests and the Pope had a meeting on and created.  I am talking in the Bible.  Isn't this considered the word of God?  The word of the Lord?  I found one such example that proves my point......Proverbs 31--"She's not a timid, house-bound woman, but an active and engaged believer in God."  But, I suppose it's all based on paid interpetation and grossly owned positions by men.

I smell Reformation.

Factors of Suicide

Rutgers Student - CNN

*shaking my head*  I can't get this outta my head.  There are too many damn emotions with this situation.  Suicide, privacy (or lack thereof), social networking and the possibility of pre-existing emotional problems.

Let's begin with Lack of Privacy.  Yep.  With capitals and all.  So your dorm mate tapes you making out with someone.  With someone of the same sex no doubt.  Via webcam.  He thinks it's funny.  Records it for all the world to see.  Because college life is one big joke.  Doesn't even stop to think how this just might affect the person being taped.

Not. Once.

No one knows he had homosexual tendencies.  That will change.  Soon.  If they didn't see the broadcast, they will soon see.  Social networking can be used for the evils.  This is a classic case.  She knows him, he knows this other guy through a brother's friend's mother and so on.

It's all too much.  What does he do now?  He is completely humiliated.  Well, this kid jumped off a bridge.  Literally.  He updated his social network and jumped.

What.  The.  Hell.

Okay, first, suicide is not a joke.

I believe that suicidal people truly feel that there are no other options.  Nothing can stop whatever they are feeling.  Nothing can stop the pain.  Nothing can ever help the problem.  But let me tell you this, there are symptoms, if you want, that lead up to this point in someone's life that they come to a head.  There is no way out and you can only see black.  I bet you that this kid only saw black.  He was humiliated.  He was destroyed, if you will.  His roommate saw to that.  I think his roommate was the trigger finger to the gun.

However, I do not think that this was all that was happening in this kids life.  There usually isn't just one instance that pushes someone over the edge.  This was just the topping on the cake.  The final factor.

I am not condoning suicide in the least bit.  I am presenting the case for it.  I can see both sides of suicide.  I had thoughts when I was a teen and I also have lost someone I loved dearly to it.  Both sides suck.

Personally, the roommate should be ashamed of himself for putting this kid on the edge like this.  I am not saying that he murdered him, but as I said before, he surely helped.

Rose Colored

Well it's a new day.  I'm not as pissy as I was yesterday.  I guess that is a good thing.

I just seen this article on Foxnews.  I had heard a bit of this on TV the other day, and thought about it, but really didn't pay any mind.....till later that night and then a couple of days later.  Let me tell you why.

Colbert on the Hill - Foxnews

The article above explains quite a bit.  I think that it goes a little easy in my mind.  It needed some of this......

This country is going through some major changes right now.  Politics are over boiling point and people are pointing so many fingers not one person wants to stand up and take things by the horns and say...."For the sake of my people....this is what needs to be done!".  Whah-lah!  Make it so!  Nope....we need to have CELEBRITIES think for the average american or the experts on the situations needing attention on Capitol Hill.  Celebrities.  People who live in a bubble filled world of champagne, cotton candy and unicorn milk.  I am not saying at all that they should not stand for something.  But, making a mockery of our Congress?  They can do that for themselves thank you very much.

Celebrities live in an alternate deminsion of normal.  Their normal is not my normal.  My normal is living paycheck to paycheck, no nanny, constantly out-of-milk status and definitely own a Honda type of life.  I absolutely love my life.  Now.....take a celeb.....own a few houses, few thousand pair of shoes.....never wear the same piece of clothing twice and I'll be damned if I drink anything that cost less than 100 bucks a bottle including water type of life.  Take their cushion of normal and put that into perspective.  Put an average music teacher on the stand in congress and let her testify on why it's important to not cut funds.  Put that celeb on the stand in congress and let them testify and see which one they listen to.  I know it's for the benefit of the music teacher however it overshadows the who problem when celebrities get involved.  Now it becomes not a public problem (schools) but what Angelina Jolie wore to effin' to testify in.

Ugh.  I think I just threw up in my mouth a little thinking about their alernate reality and them thinking 'I'm just like you......just like you......."

The Dirt of War

I am crying at the moment.  I feel sick to my stomach.  My mouth is dry.  I am staring at the news in shock.  I had to read several other articles.  I watched the video.  Are you with me yet?

Soldiers - MSNBC
Soldiers - CNN

So we have some soldiers that thought it was a fabulous idea to murder innocents in Afghanistan.  Even took war trophies.  Read the above for yourself.

Just a couple of things to get off of my chest.....

Where in the hell were their head haunchos?  Where were they when they were out gallavanting around cutting body parts and keeping them as keepsakes?  Where's the CO?  Where was the First Sergeant?  Who was the next one in line after the Staff Sergeant?  I am asking some legitimate questions.  Each of these people are in charge of keeping an eye on their personnel and making sure that each and every one is mentally fit and physically fit enough to be at war in the first place.  I am not misplacing the blame mind you.  I am wondering where things broke down.

Watching the soldier talk about it, I got so dizzy.  I sat in my chair and my head spun.  My supervisor asked if I was okay.  She said I look like I had seen a ghost.  She was seeing the same thing.  However, different paths.  I saw my Afghan friends struggle to rise against the Taliban.  I heard their cries for freedom.  I heard my interpeter crying because he lost most of his family to the Taliban.  I consoled.  I talked.  I helped.  I TRAINED THEM.  They became my friends and family.  They loved the American military.

And then this.

I watched.  I listened.  He talked as if it was nothing.  NOTHING.  Holy.....shit.  Am I hearing this?  This is being played all over the world and all I can think about is Abu Graib, again.  I thought about this little shit, and his gang running around joyriding in Afghanistan and killing for fun.  Murdering poor Afghans just because they are Afghans.  Treated them like they were garbage.

Fuck you.  Fuck you and your murdering little mob.  When your Kharma comes, I hope to hell that it is as painful and you have to plead to your God for mercy for your meaningless and empty soul.

Hopefully Afghanistan will be able forgive the US military.  We are not all like that.  I am a reminder.  So are the people that I keep close.

Shit.  I am crying again.

Burning Religion 5.0

If I keep writing about religion, I think I may be targeted by extremists at some point in time.  Wow.  What a thought.  But, really, think about it.  Here in America, you are allowed to practice whatever to whomever you want.  Freely.  Whether you are a Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Catholic, Southern Baptist or Morman.  Hmm.  Can you say melting pot?

Also, we have this thing called Freedom of Speech.  Hmm.  Basically boils down to you can say whatever, whenever you want.  Well.....sometimes.  Sometimes people will either like what you say or don't.

Add the two.  It's getting a little dangerous in here isn't it?

PC about Islam - Foxnews

Read the link above.  It's astonishing to say the least.

What I am taking from the article above isn't a whole lot but this.  If you say something about Islam, you will run the chance of getting hurt.  You run the chance of getting threatened.  If these things happen, you will more than likely hide.  I don't blame you.  However, in this country, you may and can say whatever the hell you want.  You are protected.  But, make sure that you are saying it all for the right reasons and know what the consequences are going to be.  Because with every action there will be a consequence.  Every...one.  You may have the freedoms listed above, however that doesn't excuse you for being a complete dumbass.  Because once again, you just may have shit all over the rights above and made a mistake.

I am not saying not to speak out.  I am saying know what you are talking about before you open your computer or your mouth.  In EVERY.....EVERY religion, there are radicals or extremists.  Yep, every one.  You have your extremist baptist church that wanted to burn Qu'rans.  You have extremist Muslims that kill and threaten people because they said something against their God.  To me, they are equal.  EQUAL.  You want to threathen, burn, taunt and disrespect other peoples religion and expect someone NOT to get offended?  W....T....F.  Then, if someone says something bad about your religion, you want to kill, threathen and disrepect right back.  How in the eff does this make things right?   I do not care what religion.  You are all wrong.  Wrong, wrong, wrong.  Islamic, Bapist, Catholic......doesn't matter.  It all makes me effin' sick.

Every religion is equal in the sense that it should be handled with care.  Every one.  Not just Muslim.  Not just Judaism.   Not just Christianity.  And in turn, each religion should respect other religions as well.  You WILL have extremists and good guys in each and it's your job to be educated to know the difference.  Education is the key people.  Educate yourself and release yourself from the hateful backdrop of the "blanket" rule that just because one did.....they all did.  If you don't, you are no better than any extremist in any religious group.

Damn, I get more and more ashamed of organized religion everyday.

Burning Religion 4.0

Holy shit.  No pun intended.  This is absolutely ridiculous.  I think that my brain is going to implode.  Like....divide my brain by zero.  I don't get it.  Someone please enlighten me.

Christian Flag

So, let me give you a brief synopsis of what is going on in this town.....the christian flag was being flown on government/city property.  It was voted to be taken down.  The store across the street put up a 35 foot flag pole and started flying the christian flag as a freedom of religion and to honor the vets.....

Sooooo, what is the problem you might say?

Looks to me like that the people who had the problem with the flag flying over the memorial now has the problem it's flying on private property.  Holy shit.  Holy......shit.  *shaking my head*

You have got to be pulling my leg.

For those of you who know me personally, you know that I am a ex-christian (I take this very seriously and I am still on my journey thank you), however, I fully, FULLY believe in FULL religious rights.  I also happen to believe in "if it's my property, I will do as I wish."  Thank you.  Now, put the two together and now, to me, it's DEFCON 5.

However, I must explain.

Point one:  The christian flag should not have been flying on city/government or any public property.  Fully understood.  No religion crosses that line and visa versa.  It really is a great relationship if used for good.  However, I fully understand why it was in the first place.  Some areas in the US are deeply religious and the majority of it are christian.  It's their town, let them do what they want with their towns.  City councils can vote, deal and live with it all.  I do not envy.

Point two:  The business across the street put the flag on their flagpole that the business erected in honor of these fallen soldiers.  Oh, and to exercise their religious freedoms.  On their privately owned property where their business is located.  *whistle*  Wow.  I would shake the owner's hand and tell him/her thank you for honoring and thank you for acting upon your rights.  Regardless of my religious beliefs.

Add both points and come up with point three.  You fought your fight against city hall to have it removed.  Glad you won.  Leave ordinary citizens alone and let them be.  You won't win this battle.  I can promise you that.

Do you hear that?  *hand up to my ear*  Is that some kid somewhere saying the Pledge of Allegience?

Oh, last note, the jackass in the very last line in the report....

"We as a city... as a country... need to take our country back as Christians," said Jim Walton.

Are.....you.....fucking.....kidding......me?  I would love to meet this guy.  I for one believe in freedom of speech, but not in the freedom of being ignorant.  Ignorance does not excuse you from being a hate monger.  Or a to put it mildly, an extremist.

Divided by zero.

Hidden Lies and Righting Wrongs

Hmmm....so you know you have heard the stories.  The black world for you military and black ops for you civilians.

It's the same.

Alot of them technically don't exist on paper in a lot of realms.  No retirement, no medical, no benefits when retirement rolls around.  The government has disowned their very own protectors.

This is very wrong in my book.

But they got one right!  Finally.  Why on earth would it take this long to acknowledge this heroism?  This is such a travesty.  Courage and honor.  For the love of one's country.  The CMSgt featured in the link below is not the only hero during Vietnam.  He is just one of the many.

Not in My Backyard

Religion.

That is one bad word my friend.

The mere mention of this word can cause bar fights, wars, family issues and probably black holes in outer space.  I wouldn't be surprised if this word ended up in the same pot as shit, damn or ass in the English language.

Fact:  We have Freedom of Religion in this good ol' U S of A.

Sooooo....*rocking back on my heels*....what the hell is the problem?  I am definitely not for organized re$%^&*n  myself, however, whatever makes your tea taste sweeter, be my guest.  Afterall, tolerance is part of my vocabulary.  Apparently it isn't for alot of people in my home state.  Doesn't christianity teach/preach tolerance?  Acceptance?  Regardless of faith?  Love thy Neighbor....I think this is all inclusive.  Even accepting someone or a group of people who put up an athesistic billboard.  Other re$%^&*ns put billboards up all the time.  I don't see anyone causing a fuss over the little christian church down the street putting up the big-ass billboard off highway so and so to get more worshipers.

USC, Bush and the Heisman

Reggie Bush and His Heisman

Whoa.

He....is.....giving....it....up.

I am impressed, Mr. Bush.  Does this mean you completely admit that you did wrong?  Or are you saving face?  Sometimes one is intertwined with the other.

I am not here to beat down on Mr. Bush.  Reason:  this type of inappropriate behavior happens ALL over the college arena, not just USC in 2005.  That's right.  Happens even today.  I wouldn't be so very surprised if right now, while I speak there is an up and coming superstar driving a brand new vehicle that he did not purchase.  But was "gifted" to him from the college/new car lot down the road.  For him to "borrow" mind you.  Remember, just because it's getting the spotlight now does not mean it has stopped it didn't happen previously.  Gifting your gifted is what I call it.  USC can try to distance themselves all they want......Mr. Bush is not the first nor the last.  USC is not the only college to gift their gifted.

They only got caught.

Are they investigating the rest of the colleges for the same kickbacks and such?  Are they going to let these guys know that the reason why it's illegal in the first place?  Let me let you in on a little secret....it is because you are there for college and to learn first and then play sports.  The sports you play are called extracurricular for a reason.  No money or gifts involved.  Earn your grades proper, work hard, and then go pro.  Easy does it.  Well, for the ones who have their heart set in the right place anyways.

To the companies/persons who are "gifting".  You should be ashamed of yourselves.  Trying to take advantage of someone who is in their still very vulnerable teenage years.  Your god only knows what you tell them.  May your god also have mercy on your lack "great things you did over your lifetime" list review when you expire.

By the way.......Does this mean that Mr. Bush will dodge the Heisman curse?

Letting Go

Letting go is such a hard thing to do.

Whether it be your old favorite shirt, a priceless antique and you need the money or those pesky feelings about a situation that has happened in the past.  Or is happening.

Now, with that said...don't read too much into it.  It's quite simple.  Yeah, I'm gonna talk about the latter portion of the list above.

I'm not talking forgiving.  I am certainly not talking about forgetting.  I am going to simply imply that they don't have to run your life.  Nor do you have to be robot.

I used to carry anger and hatred like it was a Coach satchel.  I prized it.  I sat it up on my pedestal and looked at both in the eye everyday and cherished it.  It was what kept me going.  Whenever I did exercise, brushed my teeth....even going to have a drink at the local bar.  I can't tell you for how long but it got worse and worse and worse.  I carried it until the satchel turned into the Samsonite suitcase.  Only it didn't have wheels.  I carried the damned thing.  Ugh.  Talk about heavy.  Now you are asking, "what is all there to be angry and hateful about?".  Awe, shucks, don't make me blush now.  Previously I would have told a story that only rival the latest Lifetime Movie.  Tears included.  Not now.  Because now I can only tell it with a pinch of satire and comedy.  For some reason, not being able to tell it with anger and hatred, my story now belongs on the Comedy Channel.  Panda tears and unicorn milk included.

Release the negative and receive the positive.  It only took me 30 years to figure that one out.  Damn the Lifetime Channel can be so damn depressing.

I think I can deal with the Comedy Channel.

The Day the World Stopped

Well, my fellow people, today was definitely a day of reflection.

I know I did.

I know my friends did.

I have a buddy who grew up in NY/NJ and the area where the towers fell, this was basically his backyard.  He had family that worked there.  I think his reflection is pretty deep.  His family still live there and they still live with the reminders everyday of every week.  My heart reaches out to the families and the people of this city.  Really, to anyone who was touched personally by this hideous crime of humanity.

With this said, we should not just reflect on just one damned day a year.  It should be everyday.  EVERYDAY.  Yep, you should take a step outside and breathe deeply and thank your lucky stars, your God, your people or whoever you praise that you are able to do this.  Just to wake everyday is enough for me.

Now, there is more to this story than just two towers falling on one fateful day.  Now the this story entertwines not only one American city.....but......add any police officer, firefighter, military member and civilian across America.  That one day, regardless of religion or race, we as Americans pulled together as one and helped each other as one.

Wow.

Fastforward to today.  Yesterday, yesterweek.  We are arguing over a Mosque.  Some guy who wants to call him a man of God (on the Christian side of the house presumeably) wants to burn Qu'rans.  When did the human spirit of this day become so spiteful and torn?  Where did the love for America go?  You do understand that we are showing our children how to solve our problems right?  It's definitely not the best way.  Kids are a lot smarter than you give them credit for.  We are fighting over a piece of land, and wanting to burn someone else's religion.  Shit, what else is happening that the news isn't covering?

People of America.....if you really want to change things, maybe you should start at home and look at your own morals and beliefs and check to see what you are teaching the next generation of America.  Afterall, they are the ones that are going to either pick up the pieces or keep on the same path of screwing everything up.

However, I don't even think that this Reverend knows where he wants to go with his little plan neither.  See links above.  Ha.  Good, keep him confused for a while and maybe he won't be able to fight his way out of a wet paper sack with a spoon.  He seems the type to be easily amused.  Like me with shiny things.

What I don't understand  is how he thinks that he is ANY better than an extremist in Afghanistan burning the American flag.  So, with this in mind, could he be considered a terrorist or at the very least an extremist?  Let me explain.

Step one - Start a cult.  Check.
Step two - Charm other Christian churches for a while until you get a established.  Check.
Step three - Start small.  Like....ummm.....announcing that you and your cronies are going to burn a load of Qu'rans because of plans to build mosque around Ground Zero.  Check.
Step four - When approached by media, answer questions with either questions or very vaguely then change your answer right after the interview.  Check.
Step five - Show ignorance.  Check.

Well, they followed my checklist to a "T".

Neither extremist nor terrorist should ever be negotiated with.  Supposedly he got a free trip to talk to the Imam about this.  If I was the Imam, I would look down my nose at him and ask why he thinks he is so damn special.  Why he thinks he can step all over the Freedom of Speech.  As I have said before, you can only take this amendment so far before you step all over it and make a mockery of it.

The President, Secretary of State, Gen Petraeus and many others have spoken out about this.  Holy shit.  No pun intended.  Not only has he just put our brothers and sisters at arms in danger over there.....I can almost sadly guarantee that there are going to be some children missing some parents because of this jackass.

Bottom line--organized religion is the can become the root of all evil.

Mosque Near World Trade Center Site

If you haven't heard about this yet, you probably should pull your head out of your hole in the ground and read and educate yourself a little.  See the next few hyperlinks.

This will have repercussions no matter which way it goes.  No matter what the great Imam says.  No matter what the 9/11 families say.

It's not up to the 9/11 families to decide what is to be built around the World Trade Center Site.  It's not the government's job to intercede.  It's not the job of New York City to get into the middle of  it.  This is afterall, private property.  Oops, that is right.....Private Property.  They can do anything they want within the zoning laws.  It's not up to you or me what they put on that property.  Go ahead and protest all you want.  Private property.

So, lets do a little seeing into the future shall we.  I see everyone going home and letting people be as soon as the news lets this rest just a tad bit.  Today you can be in the news just for saying that you want to burn a Quran.  Hey, I wonder.....

Burning Religion

So, there really is a fine line between freedom of speech and just being a grade "A" ass.  May I present to you the Florida preacher that planned on burning the Qu'ran.  *crickets chirping*  Fortunately, he has agreed that it would be a mistake to do such a thing.  See hyperlink.

Backs Off - CNN

Personally, I wish he would have just burnt one.  Karma can really be a bitch.  Even to think about burning someone else's sacred writings should be....well, insert your own punishment here.  I am a an ex-christian and even I know that God and Jesus' buddy/trinity system preach tolerance and how every christian should love and coexist and care and so on and so forth.  Where in the world do people come up with these ideas?  Even I, who fight for your freedoms to do this stupid shit everyday can honestly take a step back and say, "Hey, do us all a favor and quit sucking on my precious airspace."

Educate yourself and you children from the stupidity above.
